Dr Claire Allanach
MBChB (UK) FRANZCOG MRMed
Dr Allanach was born and raised in the UK. After graduating from Sheffield University Medical School in 2002, she went on to train in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK, New Zealand and finally Australia, having moved here almost 20 years ago.
Completing her specialist training in Queensland, she was awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding achievement in the RANZCOG membership exams, and has since been appointed to the RANZCOG board of examiners.
She is also an associate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK.
She is passionate about continuing professional development and has recently completed a Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine, Endocrinology and Infertility.

With more than 20 years experience in womens health, Dr Allanach has safely delivered thousands of babies across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in managing both low risk and high risk pregnancies and their complications by working in a variety of locations and facilities, including as a specialist, at both metropolitan and tertiary-level hospitals.
Beyond O&G, she has a special interest in aviation medicine and is a member of the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine. She is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner for the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority, for medical certification of private and commercial pilots and air traffic controllers.
Outside of medicine, Dr Allanach is a mother of two young children, both born at Pindara Hospital, and has a passion for travel and outdoor sports. She enjoys competing in local events and has represented hospital teams in triathlon and running, most recently completing the Brisbane Marathon.
Dr Allanach is currently consulting in obstetrics, gynaecology and fertility, and delivering exclusively at Pindara Private Hospital on the Gold Coast.
